There are numerous nutraceutical supplements on the market, but whom are they for? When are they beneficial, ineffective or even harmful?
The idea behind nutritional supplements is to deliver nutrients that may not be consumed in sufficient quantities. Partly due to our modern lifestyle, not everyone manages to eat a healthy diet.
A visit to the health food store can be an overwhelming experience. It’s tough to figure out what to choose from among the dizzying assortment of dietary and nutritional supplements on the shelf, all claiming to give you clearer, plumper, more glowy skin. From vitamins to minerals to pills and powders, there are dozens of options to choose from. But do you really need any of them? Do they really work, and if so, which ones are best?
That’s what we’ll talk about in this week’s podcast episode with Cate Lilja, Co-Founder and Director Wild and Free Brands.
Natural health has been an integral part of Cate’s personal and professional life for over 15 years. She turned to natural therapies to help restore and rebuild strength and vitality, prompting her to switch from studying a Biomedical Science degree to Applied Science, majoring in Naturopathic Studies.
She then proceeded to work in product development, creating supplements and ingestible within the nutraceutical, cosmeceutical and health food sectors.
Join Marni and Cate in this episode as they debunked the myths and misconceptions about nutraceutical supplements and how this affects our skin.
