You may have noticed that there’s been a lot of talk about gut health lately – and how what’s going on in your gut may affect your overall health and wellbeing, including the health of your skin.

So what is the link between gut health and skin health? Is there a link between gut health and psoriasis? And most importantly, what does all this mean for you?

The incredible complexity of the gut and its importance to our overall health is a topic of increasing research in the medical community. Numerous studies in the past two decades have demonstrated links between gut health and the immune system, mood, mental health, autoimmune diseases, endocrine disorders, skin conditions, and cancer.

Probiotics feed the good bacteria in the gut. Healthful microorganisms support the functioning of the immune system, which can help control symptoms of chronic conditions, such as psoriasis.
Since it’s thought that good health begins in your gut, could there be a connection?
That’s what we’re going to find out on this week’s episode with Kirsty Taylor of The Nourishing Way.
