Skin pigmentation disorders affect the colour of your skin. Pigment disorders can be widespread and affect many areas of skin, or they can be localised and affect only certain areas of the skin.

In this week’s podcast episode, Marnina will be speaking with Dr Michelle Rodrigues of Chroma Dermatology to talk about pigmentation disorders in the higher Fitzpatrick skin type.

Through her passion for medical education and research, Dr Rodrigues has contributed to advances in the diagnosis and treatment of conditions like vitiligo and melasma, and to the unique diagnostic and treatment considerations in patients with skin of colour who have common skin conditions like acne, eczema, psoriasis, keloid scars and many more.

Dr Rodrigues has worked and continues to collaborate with world-renowned pigment and skin of colour centres in the U.S.A, Europe and Asia. She has been on the board of directors of the Skin of Color Society, is a current council member for the Asian Society for Pigment Cell Research and the Vitiligo Association of Australia, and chairs the global narrative committee of the Global Vitiligo Foundation.

Join us in an in-depth talk with Marni and Dr Michelle about misconceptions, facts and treatments of skin pigmentation disorders.
