A significant number of plastic surgeons choose to focus their practise on cosmetic surgery, and as such, the terms are often used interchangeably. But this is not technically correct. Cosmetic surgery and plastic surgery are closely related specialties, but they are not the same.

Secondly, Dr Farhadieh is the Chief Editor of the critically acclaimed and internationally hailed reference textbook of plastic surgery: Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery: Approaches and Techniques. His own contributions were chapters on breast augmentation, eyelid and facelift surgery. Due to its great success, Dr Farhadieh has again been appointed Chief Editor to a New Edition scheduled for publication by 2020.
