Living with Psoriasis
Living with Psoriasis
First and foremost, as a proud father of 3 daughters I am always thinking of my family. It has become abundantly clear as I get older, that I need to take responsibility for my health if I want to experience the joys of grandchildren and beyond. I decided that I was no longer happy disregarding possible adverse health outcomes, so I decided it was time I cleaned up my act and started looking after myself. I am Tony Crimmins, CEO of Abundant Natural Health and I have an inflammatory disorder called Psoriasis as well as high blood pressure and high cholesterol.
Psoriasis is when the body starts to attack itself by creating dry itchy skin that turns into long term open sores that are irritating as well as being quite debilitating to my general wellbeing. I have tried everything from hard core medicine to natural remedies. Some of these were good short-term solutions, but many have terrible side effects with potential outcomes far worse than psoriasis itself. I have never given up hope of finding something to help relieve the pain and itchiness and in my quest for a solution, I looked around me and realised that I had the tools and brains in my business necessary to develop something that would revolutionise the way we treat Psoriasis.
We launched Abundant Natural Health in 2016 to fulfill my dream of developing my own topical solutions to many debilitating conditions, including Psoriasis. Four years later we have evolved into a company that prides itself on creating products which improve human health and wellbeing naturally. We now have over 20 products in our portfolio, with many more in development for the various forms of psoriasis, Eczema and Rosacea to name but a few.

Living with Psoriasis
It first appeared as red dots all over my stomach, the summer before high school. I was devastated by the diagnosis and couldn’t believe there wasn’t a cure. I felt helpless as I watched the red scales spread onto my arms, legs and back. I hated the way I looked and just wanted it to go away.
Eczema Association Australia
In her role as President of the Eczema Association of Australasia Inc (EAA), Cheryl Talent is passionate about helping eczema sufferers and their carers towards a better quality of life.
Having herself been an eczema sufferer since she was just a few days old, she became involved with the EAA in 1997 as a volunteer when she was in her mid-30s after having the worst eczema flare-up she had experienced in over 15 years.
Cheryl has a background in office administration and she has studied Business Development. The EAA’s education and support helped her to keep take charge and keep her eczema mostly under control and she believes this is the key for most eczema sufferers. Eczema can be a very debilitating skin condition that can be extremely difficult to live with.
Although at present there is no cure, good management is attainable for most sufferers. With new treatments on the horizon the eczema space is looking much more hopeful for sufferers.
As EAA President, Cheryl’s role is to educate people about eczema and how to manage it, to work with companies who have products that can help, and liaise with health professionals and researchers to ensure the EAA is providing the most up to date advice and support The Eczema Association of Australasia Inc (EAA) was founded in January 1994 with the mission of bringing community support, awareness and mass advocacy to the management and treatment of Eczema. The Eczema Association of New Zealand Inc (EANZ) was founded in 2015 by the EAA with the same mission as the Australian organization when it was recognized there was no support group in New Zealand for eczema sufferers.
